Ashley Larkey
Mrs. Larkey began serving as principal of Kings Manor Elementary in January 2025. Over the course of her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, school counselor, and assistant principal at both the elementary and secondary levels. These diverse roles have shaped her student-centered leadership style and her strong commitment to creating a positive, supportive learning environment for all.
Originally from Central Texas, Mrs. Larkey and her husband, Chett, relocated to the Houston area in 2022. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her dogs.
Mrs. Larkey is honored to lead the incredible students, staff, and families of Kings Manor Elementary and looks forward to a year filled with growth, connection, and success.
Assistant Principal

Christian Salem
Christian Salem is an educator with 22 years of experience. She has taught kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades (math, science, and social studies) and also served as a behavior coach for four years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Education and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, both from Hampton University.
Originally from Springfield, Ohio, Christian has been happily married for 20 years. She and her husband have two wonderful sons—Christopher, 16, and Mason, 7—as well as two nine-year-old German Shepherds, Onyx and Izzy. In her free time, she enjoys long walks, watching Netflix, and exploring the benefits of essential oils. Christian joined the Kings Manor Elementary community in January 2025 and is excited to continue supporting and serving the staff, students, and families of KME in the coming school year.
Assistant Principal

Rayshuna Miller
Rayshuna Miller brings 11 years of experience in education, including teaching junior high mathematics and serving as an instructional math coach. In that role, she worked closely with teachers and students to strengthen instruction, align curriculum to standards, build effective academic systems, and create meaningful learning experiences.
She believes every student deserves a safe, supportive, and high-quality learning environment. This begins with empowering teachers, fostering strong relationships, and building a campus culture where everyone feels valued. She is passionate about instructional excellence, data-driven decision-making, and collaborating with families and staff to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Outside of school, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, children, and extended family. She was born and raised in Huntsville, Texas, and is a proud Sam Houston State University alumna—Go Kats! Rayshuna is excited to join the Kings Manor Community and looks forward to celebrating successes together while supporting teachers, staff, and students every step of the way.
